This site is owned and controlled by Aravedas LLC.

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern every use of this website and every order, booking and event reservation placed through it. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them and to the privacy notice whether you are a guest or registered user. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use this website.

By using this website or placing an order, booking, or reservation, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

We also like to interact with you on third party sites where we post content or invite your feedback, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube (“Third-Party Sites”). We do not control these Third-Party Sites, and these Terms do not apply to companies that we do not own or control, or to the actions of people that we do not employ or manage. You should always check the terms of use posted on Third Party Sites.

We reserve the right to change or modify any of the terms and conditions contained in these Terms from time to time at any time, without notice, and in our sole discretion. If we decide to change these Terms, we will post a new version on this website and update the date set forth above. Any changes or modifications to these Terms will be effective upon posting of the revisions. Your continued use of this website following posting of any changes or modifications constitutes your acceptance of such changes or modifications and if you do not agree with these changes or modifications, you must immediately cease using this website. For this reason, you should frequently review these Terms and any other applicable policies, including their dates, to understand the terms and conditions that apply to your use of this website. If you place an order with us, then the version of the Terms published on this page at the time you place an order is the one that governs that order.

Products are made to order in small batches from natural materials, so color, scent and appearance can vary between batches and from photographs; such variation is not a defect. We work to keep descriptions, ingredient lists and prices accurate, but we do not warrant that any content on the site is error-free, and we may correct errors — including pricing errors — at any time, before or after an order is placed. If we cancel an order because of an error, you will receive a full refund of what you paid for it.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. Our products are fragrances and home goods; references to chakras, wellness or mood are aesthetic and traditional framing, not claims that any product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease or condition.

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted only when we send an email confirming acceptance or when we dispatch the goods, whichever comes first. We may refuse or cancel any order, including for suspected fraud, pricing or stock errors, or resale, and if we do after payment, our only obligation is to refund the amount paid for the canceled order.

Prices and availability can change at any time until an order is accepted.

Prices are in US dollars and shown before tax; sales tax is calculated and added at checkout. Payment is taken in full when the order is placed unless a written arrangement says otherwise. Bulk orders are invoiced separately. Payments are processed by Block, Inc. (Square); we never receive or store card details.

Gift cards are redeemable for merchandise, Scent Walk bookings, and events, online and in our store. They can't be exchanged for cash, except that if your balance falls below $5 you can ask us to refund the remainder in cash. Gift cards aren't refundable, reloadable, or replaceable if lost, stolen, or used without your permission, and we're not responsible for a gift card used without authorization.

Delivery windows on the shipping page are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for carrier delay. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the package is handed to the carrier.

Fragrance is a skin-contact good made with natural aromatic and synthetic materials, any of which can cause a reaction in a sensitive individual. Patch-test every product before first full use, keep products away from eyes and broken skin, discontinue use if irritation occurs, and keep all products out of reach of children and pets. If you have allergies, sensitive skin, are pregnant or are under medical care, consult a professional and each product's ingredient listing before use.

Candles must never be left burning unattended, must be burned on a stable heat-resistant surface away from drafts and anything flammable, and must be kept out of reach of children and pets.

You assume the risks of using any product other than as directed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury or damage arising from misuse, from failure to follow directions and safety warnings, or from an individual sensitivity or allergy to a disclosed ingredient.

Host and eligibility — A booking fee holds a slot at the store and is credited against a purchase on the day. For any group, party or corporate booking, the person who makes the booking (the “Host”) enters into these Terms on behalf of everyone attending and is responsible for their group’s conduct at the event. The Host must be at least 18 years old.

Deposits and payment — Event bookings — including off-site and corporate events — are held by a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the estimated total (or $100, whichever is greater), due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 10 days before the event date; if it is not paid by then, we may treat the booking as cancelled and retain the deposit. Bookings made within 10 days of the event date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Event content — The activities, products and any take-home items included in an event are as agreed with you at the time of booking. We may substitute an ingredient, product or activity of comparable value where we reasonably need to for safety, supply or operational reasons; this does not entitle you to a refund or a reduction in price. Event time slots are fixed, and arriving late may shorten the session without a refund for the time lost.

Conduct — Everyone attending an event is expected to follow our staff’s reasonable instructions. We may end an individual’s or a group’s participation without a refund if their conduct is unsafe, abusive or disruptive to other guests or staff.

Allergies and ingredients — Because our events involve hands-on work with fragrance materials, the Host must tell us in writing, at least 5 days before the event, of any known allergy, sensitivity, disability or medical condition among attendees that could be relevant to the activity. We will take reasonable steps to accommodate what we are told, but we do not guarantee an allergen-free experience, and each participant remains responsible for reviewing the ingredient and allergen information we provide before taking part.

Assumption of risk — Participation in an event is voluntary. Hands-on activities such as blending, mixing or otherwise working with fragrance oils, botanicals and other aromatic materials carry an inherent risk of skin or respiratory irritation, allergic reaction, spills and minor injury, even when products are used as directed. By taking part, each attendee accepts these risks for themselves, and, for a minor, the accompanying adult accepts them on the minor’s behalf.

Belongings and property — We are not responsible for personal belongings brought to an event. Fragrance oils, waxes and colorants used in our activities can stain, and we are not liable for damage to clothing or personal items worn or brought to an event; we recommend dressing accordingly. The Host is responsible for any damage to our property caused by their group beyond normal wear and tear.

Intellectual property — Our blend formulations, recipes, techniques and event formats remain our intellectual property. Personal photos and social media posts from an event are welcome, but you may not record, reproduce or use our activities, recipes or techniques for a commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

Food and beverages — We do not sell, serve or offer food or alcoholic beverages ourselves. Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages. For a private event, guests may also bring their own beer or wine for personal consumption, at no charge and entirely by their own choice; we do not permit hard liquor, cocktails or mixed drinks on the premises. Every attendee consuming alcohol must be 21 or older, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to, or end the participation of, anyone who appears intoxicated, without a refund. Bringing and consuming your own alcohol is at your own risk.

Cancellation — For a store booking of fewer than 4 seats, the deposit may be canceled and refunded in full up to 1 hour before the event’s start time. For all other bookings — including store bookings of 4 or more seats, and off-site and corporate events — deposits are non-refundable, and a booking may be rescheduled once at no charge with at least 10 days' notice before the event date; a cancellation, or a rescheduling request made with less notice, forfeits the full amount paid. If we need to cancel or reschedule an event for a reason beyond our reasonable control — illness, a supply failure, a safety concern or a store closure — we will offer a new date or a refund of amounts paid, at our discretion.

All design, text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio and video clips, the selection and arrangement thereof, and all software on this website are owned by Aravedas LLC or its licensors. You may not use this website in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation; in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect; to transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); to knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware; to circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with security-related features of this website or features that prevent or restrict use of any content or enforce limitations on use of this website or the content therein; or to interfere with or disrupt this website, or servers or networks connected to this website, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to this website, including by using any device, software or routine to bypass robot exclusion headers. You also agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of this website in contravention of the provisions of these terms; any part of this website; any equipment or network on which this website is stored; any software used in the provision of this website; or any equipment, network or software owned or used by any third party.

Any inquiries, feedback, suggestions, ideas or other information you provide to us (“Information”) will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. Subject to our Privacy Policy, by providing us with any such unsolicited information you hereby grant Aravedas LLC a non-exclusive and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, sell, assign, translate, transfer, sub-license, create derivative works from, distribute and display the information in any form, media or technology and whether alone or as part of other works.

You also agree that your information may not be returned and we may use your information and any ideas, concepts or know-how contained therein, for any purpose. Furthermore, if you send us any such information you represent and warrant that you own or otherwise are entitled to any and all rights to the information and that your information does not contain or constitute software viruses, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or “spam” in any form.

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these terms, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Some states do not allow the disclaimer of certain implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing in these terms limits any warranty or right that the law does not allow to be limited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to an order, a booking or the use of this site is limited to the amount you paid us for the product or booking the claim relates to, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if advised of their possibility.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Some states do not allow the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Aravedas LLC and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures, employees and third-party service providers from all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, obligations and damages of every kind and nature, known and unknown, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of (a) your use of and access to this website in violation of any term of these Terms; (b) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party (including, without limitation, any copyright, property or privacy right); or (c) any claim that any conduct by you caused damage to a third party.

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of an order or booking, are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction.

Your rights are protected under the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act and New Jersey law generally. Nothing in these Terms limits, varies, diminishes, affects, or otherwise voids or alters your rights under New Jersey law. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and New Jersey law, New Jersey law will govern.

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier failure, supplier failure, natural events and outages. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the unenforceable part is replaced by the closest enforceable term. A failure to enforce any term is not a waiver of it. These terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement between you and Aravedas LLC about the site and your orders.
